There was no mention of how the guys would fit into the storyline or what their appearance would entail.  I'm assuming they would be playing themselves, since the soap is set in the town of Genoa City, Wisconsin. I can say that at least they ended on a high note, beating the Cardinals Sunday in St. Louis.
